GHS Secures Membership of the Independent Schools Association (ISA)

It is with great excitement that I can inform you that we have secured membership of the Independent Schools Association (ISA). This is a real feather in our cap and something I have been working on in the background for some time. The ISA is one of eight private schools associations which function under the umbrella of the Independent Schools Council. Consequently, we will be inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), which many believe to be a much more rigorous evaluation system, rather than OFSTED. The accreditation to ISA is demanding and began with a compliance check back in November which we passed with flying colours!

The reasons for joining the ISA are many, however, the main driving force is to reassure you, as parents, as well as prospective parents, that the education your children are receiving is second to none. Additional benefits include collegiality with many other top independent schools, not only locally, but nationally too. Pupils and staff will have the opportunity to take part in many events and competitions involving similar schools to us. This includes sports, art, drama and essay writing to name but a few. Staff will have access to professional development with high quality training programmes offered throughout the year.

I look forward to working with the ISA and seeing the many benefits membership brings the pupils and staff in the future.
